Church in Poland
For a number of years we have had links with churches in Poland. Our main link is with Szczecin; we have sent a number of teams over and been involved in some of their projects, helping to update their premises so that they can be used more easily. The pastor and other Polish Christians have also visited us in England. The church has its own website:
The Bethel Evangelical Church in Szczecin website is almost entirely in Polish. But we do recognise a lot of the faces from the picture gallery even if we do not understand the words.
From the base in Szczecin, we have also visited a number of other churches in North-Eastern Poland. The church in Międzyzdroje is based in a holiday resort on the Baltic coast and always gives a great welcome - and even has accommodation for those who want to stay a little longer.
The church in Lobez has an interesting history - the way in used to be at the back of a baker's yard, but there is now a road around the back. And the main meeting room now has an extra room underneath.
In our latest visit to Nowogard, we were able to use the equipment we had given when the church moved from a local primary school to its own premises. These premises are used through the week as the church collects food and clothing and distributes it to needy families in the area.
At New Life Baptist, we believe that the church is nothing less than the hope of the world
